(no subject)

I am at 3,114 words of my dissertation. I have thus far managed to eradicate all the bits in red pen saying 'CHECK THIS' and so on and so forth in these words, meaning they will only require basic maintenance. However, this is just over a quater of my dissertation done. The due date is January 9th (although it needs comb-binding so probably my real deadline is about the 7th) which is Quite A Lot Of Time, bearing in mind I have no more classes and only, you know, paid employment to worry about this.

I am probably on library duty for my dissertation now, though. I've got my computer back and OH MY GOD I LOVE IT SERVICES because they restored the My Documents bit of my hard drive. Photos and music, back! They also installed OpenOffice and FireFox for me! I don't even use FireFox!

However, I have rather stupidly lost the installation disk for my USB wireless stick, so I need to order another one of those so I can, you know, use the internet. I also don't fancy getting used to OpenOffice when in the middle of the project of death, and hey, the library is warm and I know how to use Word.

Anyway, what I'm rather dancing around is the fact that I have several thousand words to write about royalism during the interregnum and all I want to do is go back to sleep, and look forward to Christmas, and clean my bathroom. Hey ho.

Cool! Let me know how you get on :) you should be ok with the installer, archive the drivers if you can or burn a copy. If you ever need them again, give me a yell.

It'll take you two days to get it bound? Last year I was still writing printing my 10,000 word report less than an hour before the deadline... the uni binding people managed to do it in half an hour!

I'm with you on the library = warm thing. Ours is especially so, I'm wearing a t-shirt in December! I went home to work yesterday but just spent the whole evening in bed under two duvets with my hands in my armpits trying to get them to defrost!

Huzzah for your comp. getting fixed :) Firefox has its uses... Like for watching things on surfthechannel.com - it's amazing how many TV shows and films are there!

Hope your net gets sorted soon hun... Though library = warmth so you're prolly better there anyway!

But yes... enjoy Chrimbo and continue your notes but you should have plenty of time to type up and edit afterwards.
