So, the dissertation went in. I am already a bit bored, but I have been drinking to assuage that, which is obviously a good and healthy thing to do, right? (Obviously not been drinking today, I've only been awake for about five hours and I have some standards. Possibly.)

Anyway. I had my last day of work yesterday, and now the world is my oyster ofor something like that. I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself. I'm going to work on some fic, definitely, and I'm going to order an internet stick so I can actually access the internet at home, which will definitely stave off the boredom. I need to clean the house, as our house goes on 'official' show on Monday for the househunters and I don't want them picking through my pants. That is... about it, actually. Other than writing CV and applying for EXCITING JOBS or at least applying for a job because ohmygod I am being terrified by the news reports aboutr how we are basically the doomed generation of graduates. YEAH, THANKS BBC. I'm applying next week, honestly! IF YOU'RE SO BASTARDING CONCERNED THEN GIVE ME A JOB. Oh, god, I'm a stereotypical unempolyed Northerner and I'm not even unemployed yet.

I have nothing else useful to write. I made cheesecake last night. It was tasty. Oh, and homemade vegetarian cheeseburgers! See, the time will just fly by.

Congratulations on handing in your dissertation! I am full of awe - I was too chicken to attempt one myself. Go you!

And yeah, much argh over the graduate job front. I'll be honest - I can't think of anyone who graduated when I did who is now doing something they wanted to do, unless it is further study. It's worrying.

I know I have, you know, the rest of my life to find a decent job, but I am honestly shit-scared because all I can see in flashing neon lights is the prospect of me working in the nursing home FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

My cheesecake is bloody easy to make and involves no packet mixes, this is the recipe my mum gave me years back and it never fails.

6oz digestive biscuits
Lots of butter/marg
1/4 pint double cream
8oz cream cheese
2oz castor sugar
1 lemon

First, beat the hell out of your bisuitc, into tiny little crumbs. When you've done that, melt down a lot of butter, and once it's melted (don't let it burn!) add the biscuit crumbs. Once it's all mixed together to a lovely golden mixture, put it around the base of a large, shallow dish and put in the oven to set.

Now, whip your cream until it's firm and set. You can do it by hand, but an electric whisk helps and it takes bloody ages either way, but don't despair, you'll make it!

Then, in a seperate bowl, beat all the cream cheese until it's soft. Add the cream and mix.

In the meanwhile, squeeze the lemon of all of it's juice, and grate the rind. (That's the peel, grate it as tiny as possible.)
Then add this mixture, and the castor sugar, in a slow way; keep on testing it until you find the desired mixture of sweet sugar and sharp lemon. I like mine quite tangy, but it can be pretty sweet. Put the completed mixutre on top of the biscuit base, and then leave it all to set in the fridge.

Voila! Tasty cheesecake. Enjoy. :-)

Don't worry, we'll all be unempolyed soon enough. Great word btw.

Cheesecake good, fic good. The economy will probably hopefully rebuild within a few years, if you can find some kind of employment you will be alright... it will be alright. Take care sweet x
