Public Service Announcement: the phone is all fine. Hoo and indeed rah.

Today I went into Liverpool with Iona in which we probably scared the living daylights out of several poor humans, who may not have wished to know our thoughts on alternative Doctor Who plots which involved the flypeople coming to Earth and being the greatest recycling sensation ever, or Malcolm going on humourous adventures with the Doctor, one of which involves them getting married in a comedy alien wedding and Malcolm claiming it's now binding. We also dissected Stargate, Star Trek, and a multitude of other geeky things, as well as our usual meanderings over life, the universe and everything.

We have also officially formed the Circus Of The Fail Armada. Reasonably intelligent person? Can't get a job? Have absolutely not useful skills for a circus? Then come along! I will be the trapeze artist with no acrobatic skills and a mild fear of heights, for example. We're currently particularly looking to hire someone to look after the lions, prferably someone with a cat allergy.

There will be camels. And a freak show. It's been decided.

(This is why it really annoys me that I don't get to see Iona as often as I want, although possibly for the sanity of the world it is a good thing that perhaps we don't.)

I'm off back to St Andrews tomorrow, something that I am mildly relieved about as things are mad here. A case in point: I have been back in Ormskirk for seven days, now. In this time my sister has been out drinking several times, worked in a nursery, worked in a chippy, and stayed out all night so presumably had sex. She has had her first shower today. Whilst I am overjoyed about this as the smell was getting quite frankly overpowering, I feel it says all that needs to be said about my sister.

Anyway, St Andrews tomorrow. Still not packed but have quite concrete plans to take back less than I came with... unless I'm up early enough to raid the fridge, that is. I do believe there's a whole block of cheese and possibly some butter and eggs in there with my name on them.

(Yes, I steal protein from my family. What can I say, I like cheese.)

We never decided what I get to do while you're being a slightly phobix trapeze artist and [livejournal.com profile] stupidore wears a top hat! Can I be the one responsible for turning away clowns? "You! You in the not-at-all comedy shoes! OUT!"

You can be responsible NOT ONLY for the clowns but for maintaining that mimes will be flung in the Pit of Scorpions. Basically your role is to do Lord Vetinari's whim!

You and Iona just MAKE happiness. I still think very fondly of those couple of times I've been able to come up North and see you both; SO much fun.

I am not allergic to cats, but they tend to hate me, would that do? Perhaps I could be in the freak show? As what, I'm not quite sure. Possibly, given most people's reaction to my degree subject: see the crazy lunatic who likes to manipulate numbers! Marvel as she rearranges equations! Gasp in awe as she differentiates complex functions!
