So, I have a job interview tomorrow as you all should know by now. Via the medium of still being drunk on Friday and being in work all day Saturday, I thought that today I would pop into Ormskirk town centre and buy appropriate interview wear, as all I have is basically what I graduated in and my Romana dress. A nice blue blouse, I thought, nothing special, and a new pair of shoes.

I know I would be able to get hold of the shoes as I know the girl who is the Sunday supervisor, so I popped in - she was amazed I had survived Thursday and that the bloke was genuine after all - and bought some shoes for interview purposes. Then I headed off to buy some toiletries that I desperately needed anyway, and realised with horror that nowhere else was open. Not a chain shop, not a charity shop, not anything.

AAARRRGGGHHHHH. I used to live in what is theoretically the religious centre of a country and they had clothes shops open on a Sunday! NOT IMPRESSED YO. So now I have to go and root through my mother's wardrobe in order to find some sort of blouse that I can somehow cobble an outfit out of.

On the bright side, I have looked up the company I am beibng interviewed for, and as such now know its name and history. It sells grass. The legal kind that goes on lawns, I hasten to point out. After looking it up on Google at least I now understand why more or less the entire tract of land next the trainlines between Town Gren and Maghull is all uniformly turfed!

Now I'm off to watch Merlin and then I shall spend hours and hours watching Deep Space Nine. I have today and tomorrow off, and then I'm in for eight days, so time off shall become a precious resource. Clearly Star Trek and a job interview are the best ways to use this resource.
