hathycolI have had a bad day. There was a spider in the shower, but without my glasses on it might have just been mould, so I ignored it and had the quickest shower of all time. When glasses were on, discovered it was a big black spider and had to resist urge to have a little cry.
Went to work. Was met by the Dam Fool Boss's wife and presented with a pair of shoes, under orders to send them up to their son at St Andrews because he had left them at home. My issues with this:
1. I AM NOT ACTUALLY A PERSONAL SLAVE OF YOUR FAMILY THIS DOES NOT HELP THE BUSINESS.
2. He is 21 years old. If he can't remember his own shoes, send him to Dundee to buy some more. LIKE AN ADULT WOULD.
3. STILL NOT A SERVANT.
4. It costs the business £8 to do this, as she wanted them sending using the expensive APC system.
5. ... okay, I did it. However, the area for APC collections is outside so I HOPE IT RAINED ON THE PACKAGE AND DESTROYED IT.
So I bumble along through the rest of my day, and an irritating customer phones up. This is something Damn Fool Boss is meant to be dealing with. We tell irritating customer that Damn Fool Boss is in a meeting. From somewher, irritating customer has Damn Fool Boss's mobile number. He then phones Damn Fool Boss who brings his phone downstairs for me to deal with irritating customer. OH SO I AM ONLY GOOD ENOUGH TO SEND OUT YOUR RECALTRICANT SON'S SHOES BUT NOW I AM APPARENTLY GOOD ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH THIS CUSTOMER THAT YOU WERE MEANT TO SORT ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO is not what I shouted at him, and instead said a slightly milder part of the latter half of the sentence. Clearly my rage got through, as Damn Fool Boss shouted at me to sort it so, well, I didn't particularly sort it, let's handwave that, but I PUT THE PROBLEM OFF and that is as far as my work ethic goes these days.
And I've not slept properly all week due to having a cold, and I need to do the cleaning but I don't have the energy and did I mention the SPIDER that might be living in my bathroom so I can never pee ever again and ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH.
So basically I am in a Sneaky Hate Spiral. The only thing that will stop the spiral is Chinese food, so I will be getting takeaway tonight and maybe even some booze, although maybe not as I have to protest tomorrow but STILL.
Egg fried rice stops rage, right?
