Oh, jolly good, a Conservative PM. I am going to refer to him as a Fish Inna Condom until he stops looking like one.

Best case scenario - Cable as Chancellor, a hell of a lot of infighting, the necessary public service cuts are made and then we all remember how awful the Tories were and they are voted out again for another generation, hopefully with some voting reform in the middle.

Worst case scenario too bad to contemplate, starts with "Thatch" and ends in "erism", with Gideon as Chancellor, all the worst hangovers of new Labour and the abolition of the good that they did.

ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH. Bloody hell, but I'm glad for the first time in ever that I am a. no longer in education and b. working in the private sector.

Apparently - according to Nick Robinson on BBC news last night - it will definately be Gideon as chancellor. But the Lib Dems are insisting on tax cuts under £10000 a year, which is good?
