I had a lovely weekend. I came home to a plot for barbequed food on Satuday - never a bad plan! - and ate far too much grilled chicken and drank some lovely cider in the sun, before going to Jess and Jo's housewarming party.

I am not very good at socialising at the moment, since I am tired all the time and basically a rubbish human being quite a lot, but I ended up really enjoying it. We sat in the garden for a bit, chilling out and enjoying the warmer evenings, before heading indoors. I didn't know too many people, but Richie was there, and I caught up with some old friends, and gently drank my way through a lot more cider. It was lovely.

Even Sunday was great too, despite making the dodgy choice to go and see the new Robin Hood. I might have enjoyed if it wasn't a. boring, b. poorly plotted, c. not involving Richard Armitage, and d. historically so inaccurate I wanted to cry. And Monday was really chilled out, and basically it was a lovely weekend.

Which, of course, makes going back to work such an awful thing to do. ARGH.

In other news my teeth feel weird. Still no word on finding an NHS dentist - I may have to suck it up and get private insurance and hope it covers matter, since I can't really see our new lords and masters putting out any money for NHS dentists. "Go back to wooden teeth, serfs!" I vaguely imagine them howling. It must be said that I also had a nightmare the other night about George Osbourne and Vince Cable coming to my house and holding me upside down and raid me of any loose change, since they're apparently looking at 'speeding up' student loan repayments. Ahahahaha. Good-o.

I watched Going Postal yesterday. I seem to be alone in having quite liked it?

I quite liked Going Postal. I didn't think it needed vast analysis (the basic points being obvious: fun, a bit different to the book, didn't pass the Bechdel test (I think), other normal flaws of mainstream TV), and it's been long enough since I read the book that I'd forgotten most of the names and much of the plot, but it was a fun watch.

I enjoyed Going Postal too, as it so happens.
