Mum is out of hospital. This is very exciting. On a selfish, personal note, it means that this evening I am sat catching up on The Interwebz, then I will go and make PASTA with VEGETABLES and CHEESE and it will be FRESH (or as fresh as week old veggies can be) and I will CONSUME IT with the mad glee of someone who has had the last week on takeaway, soup, and toast. I am pathetic, I know.

Then I will go and see Mum, and be a good daughter, and the next week while she recovers somewhat will be interesting, as I suspect I'll be on food duty on the nights that Dad and Megan are working, but that's okay too. Needs must.

In the interim, though, OH GOD I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT FOOD.

Hooray! I'm glad. Have they done the operation already?

Also hooray for REAL FOOD. It is so good.

No operation as of yet; she's on the 'priority' list, which is one list behind 'emergency'. Southport Hospital is in the middle of THE FLU EPIDEMIC O' DOOM, apparently, so everything is a bit weird there. She's still poorly, but happier to be back at home presuming that Dad is able to forcibly restrain her from cleaning. (I went to visit unexpectedly and found her cleaning the bathtoom. "I hate being ill!" she told me. "THIS WILL NOT HELP MUM.")

Real food is SO GOOD. I bought so many vegetables today. I don't even know how I'm going to cook them. Perhaps I shall just stare, adoringly.
