hathycol"I bet you're going to sleep this weekend," practically everyone I know said to me over the course of this week.
"Oh yes," I enthusiasically agreed. "I may just wake up to eat and then sleep again."
This was A LIE. An unintentional one, of course, but a lie nevertheless.
Mum, as mentioned, came out of hospital yesterday. After comsuming REAL FOOD, I went to see her yesterday. She still isn't well, although needs to be physically restrained from cleaning. Her operation is due on an as soon as possible basis, althouh Southport hospital is currently mad busy with flu so there's no news on how long it'll be.
I came home and drank blueberry vodka. It was a shocking disappointment.
Today, I woke up and toddled out into the land of Ormskirk, intending to pay off my credit card bill. I did so, and also managed to get online banking sorted out and open a savings account. It is called 'Wedding Account' which is a bit scary but also secretly quite exciting and means that I have finally managed to do something concrete towards the whole thing. (Next step: sort out a date and start booking things!) I then did all of my food shopping, which was mostly vegetables. I am very excited about the sheer quantity of vegetables in my cupboard. Popped in to see Mum ("Mum, you don't need to clean the bathroom, it's FINE, will you sit down please?"). I then came home, made scrambled eggs successfully for the first time in my life, consumed them, and then cleaned the entire house. Well, not the entire house, but I went mad with polish and the hoover and I feel much, much better for it.
Now I have the rest of the day to myself. It is a very nice feeling. I'm going to watch The Next Generation (it's taking me forever to get through season 1, but I'm determined to do it so that I can get to the good stuff) this afternoon, and then I can watch Primeval on the telly because Jules and Ed are going out.
Tomorrow, though, I am totally going to sleep. And go to the gym. But mostly sleep.
