Oct. 4th, 2011 08:19 pmYesterday I had the first ever dentist appointment where I flailed and made her stop. If she had continued, to be fair, I had managed to plan a speech in my head in about two seconds flat about informed consent about medical treatment and if she continued I would SUE like it was going out of fashion. She possibly sensed this, hence she was very kind about changing techniques on draining abcess/surprise scale and polish, but also ticked me off about not flossing enough. So now my dentist thinks I am a wuss with poor dental hygiene. She is younger than me. Win, self. Win
Work is horrible at the moment as we have people off combined with horror stories in the press about snow. It's just awful at the moment in terms of busy, with there being just a slight amount too much to do in too small a period of time. I'm also struggling badly with my eyesight at the moment due to too much staring at computer screens, so I need new glasses and also I need new car insurance this month. Since self is apparently going blind the insurance is going to be even more essential. I think my life is a bit of a sitcom at the best of times, but now I think it's one of the sitcoms where everything is a bit embarrassing and awful and you just want to hide behind a cushion.
Nothing is too awful, all things considered; I'm just tired, I think.
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE I have finished my antibiotics which means that soon they will be out of my system and the weekend will embrace some red wine. See, it's not all bad!
