hathycolArgh, just, fuck off 2014. Just, please, stop screwing with me and with the people I love.
To make a very long story short, as you may remember, my parents are coming to visit this weekend. Been looking forward to it for ages. So has Richie.
However, over the last couple of weeks Richie's aunt has been ill - which we knew - and in the last 48 hours it went from 'okay, things are bad' to 'get here now'. Richie tried to get a flight up last night, but it was cancelled by the time he got to the airport due to a French airstrike. By the time he got back to London all of the trains had gone, so he had to get the overnight train. She had already passed by the time he arrived.
So that, is, you know, completely shitty. It also means that Richie won't be back until Sunday, which means that everything is sort of ruined for this weekend for him and I just wish this year would stop messing up the things I was looking forward to and stop messing with the people I love.

Fairly obviously, it also means I have a ticket to spare for Book of Mormon on Friday. We paid £50 for it but we can accept offers. I don't really want to send out an email in work if I can avoid it, so please just give me a ring on 07557 373876 if you can make me a reasonably offer - I sort of don't want to lose all of the money. We need to pick up the tickets at the box office and because I'm not Richie I have to wait until 7pm on the Friday to pick them up, so it's not guaranteed I can resell them. Which, compared to the above, is really not the worst problem in the world but if I can sort out a little thing I would feel better.
