Okay, I'm not entirely sure why it has now become necessary in Who fandom to say this, but I would just like to chime in with: I am enjoying the new run of episodes. I have to admit that I am still badly missing the Ponds. This annoys even me, because I like to embrace new things in Who - Doctors, companions, TARDIS interiors - and not to dwell too much on the past. I can enjoy previous episodes, and dislike some previous episodes, and carry on.
Basically I love Rory like pie.
(And as a sort of Thing with all the foofarrah that is going on at the moment: look, it's good to keep watching things if you don't enjoy every element of them. I didn't - still don't - particularly like season 2 Rose as character, but I carried on watching, and took what I enjoyed out of it, and didn't take it personally that other people really like Rose. Um, basically I understand if you want to keep watching Who despite not liking all of it, but I don't understand that people seem to be getting hate in their personal space about enjoying Who. That probably doesn't made a great deal of sense, but I know what I mean and I hope you do too.
BASICALLY WHY CAN'T WE ALL BE UNITED IN LOVE OF THE BIG BLUE BOX. I don't even judge people who like Adric. Well, a bit.
That last part was a joke.)
That side: I'm liking Clara a lot. She seems very empathic, and I am vaguely curious about what her mystery is simply because I want to know how things are goingto end up with her. I really hope we get to keep her, and her marvellous ability on a space scooter! I enjoyed The Rings of Akhaten not so much for the plot, which was a bit argh in places, but I always enjoy episodes with Stuff In Space because, well I am sci-fi fan and I enjoy a bit of worldbuilding and space pyramids that aren't based around Yet More Humans. Basically ALIENS YAY.
In other news this weekend I have watching Richie spend hours digging over the garden, and then today I watched a cat dig a hole and crap in our new vegetable plot, so that was fun. Brazen thing, I had to chase it off with a shovel in the end. I suspect nothing is going to grow. Ah well.
