Agents of SHIELD! Yay! I have read reviews that call Ward 'Gwen' and the comparison is an entirely accurate one. Let's hope that Ward improves, much like Gwen did.

There was a lot of awfully odd stuff about the episode that just didn't work, and some of the script was a wee bit off. Shame, really. I did like that the obvious reason for Fury faking Coulson's death is exactly what happened, although obviously we have a secondary mystery which I would like to see resolved. I bet whatever it is Coulson already knows about it, though.

(Also, Coulson just seems to be cheerfully wandering around SHIELD so, er, I assume that Clint and Natasha haven't been back yet?)

Melinda is my favourite. This is based on entirely no information, I realise, but I live in hope.

I really hope that things improve, and I highly suspect that they will. And that Fitz and Simmons get a personality that isn't just 'have an accent'.

TV is getting good all of a sudden. Seriously, there were loads of things I wanted to watch last night so obviously Richie and I went to the pub to celebrate getting through this week. On the way home we went for food and I finally gave in and experimented with a local kebab house, on the basis that we have proper Turkish kebab houses on the way home. It was exquisite, although the cider beforehand may have helped.

Plus that Atlantis thing is starting tonight, as well as Strictly and generally awesome stuff. This is obviously the best time for me to have really got into Fringe, which I have some complicated thoughts on but generally enjoy it. I was just about to say it's getting much better now the random bikini shots are decreasing, but I have it on at the moment and there is Olivia in her pants again. Ah well.

I thought it was great fun (silly, bordering on nonsensical, practically lacy with plot holes, but that's how I like my escapist TV). It really is just 'Whedon does Torchwood', isn't it? Which is great, because I am in favour of both Whedon and Torchwood, but unless the twist is that Coulson is an omnisexual time-traveller I might end up disappointed. Knowing Whedon, I'm expecting Fitz and Simmons to have a Character Episode or two later in the season, which should help with their I Am Just My Accent problem, and hopefully Melinda will get an amazing one too. I like her. I'm willing to like Ward, later, if he has a change of heart. I like Maria Hill, too, I hope she gets a bigger role in future.
