LET'S TALK ABOUT THOR 2 SHALL WE. So, that was magnificant.
To be honest, I very quietly wasn't expecting much. I thought that Darcy wouldn't have enough to do and it would just be a bit too much. Instead, it surpassed every expectation.
Firstly: DARCY! YAY DARCY! I'm pleased to see that she is in fact following Jane around the world for Science! I didn't mind Ian either, and I like that she continually took the lead in that. "Hey. How's space?" Oh Darcy, your London driving skills are nearly as good as mine.
All the London stuff! The bit where Jane is on the date? I HAVE EATEN THERE. To be precise, I have been slightly drunk there on a supplier lunch. I was quite chuffed for it. Plus at one point they zipped down past St Pauls and I lol-ed, as I had eaten lunch on the steps that very day. Not entirely sure why they beat up so much of poor Greenwich. Also - and this is important - it is significantly more than three stops to Greenwich from Charing Cross. You need to change train and everything. Still, it was nice to see a superhero film outside of America.
(Also - did I see Digestive biscuits? At breakfast? Dear lord, the horror.)
Loki was brilliant. I get a bit sick of Loki fangirls, but he really was very good. I didn't think they'd kill him off, though - and I was, of course, completely right.
OH FRIGGA. She broke my heart. I knew it was too good to be true, for her to have all those lines and to kick ass.
Asgard is so pretty! It was nice to see some moe of it, and it looked more real this time, too. Heimdall was awesome as always.
Jane is a bit... meh. There is a Jane that is described on film that I rather like, where she slobs around and is obsessive about science. It's a shame, as we don't actually ever see her.
Was pleased to see Eric again! Would rather have done without the whole overblown 'lol teh crazy' aspect, but I think it did raise some interesting questions about the impact of having Loki Inna Head. MORE CLINT STUFF NOW PLEASE.
ALSO UNEXPECTED CAPTAIN AMERICA. Absolutely brillian. I laughed like a drain, and I thought that Chris Evans performance was brilliant.
Glad to see the continuation of the humour, and oh it was brilliant. I do have some questions though - where were SHIELD? Who was the post-credits character? I've worked out as much as Guardians of the Galaxy but I don't know much else than that. Did I miss out on something awesome?
Other than that, I am persuing a week of being a Fucking Shut In. After lots of busy times, it's dark when I leave work and I just can't face anything this week. I've skipped the pub quiz and turned down a Halloween party tomorrow - I just want to put on my pajamas and eat cauliflower cheese, which admittedly is what I'm doing right now. Oh well. I am going to a Diwali party on Saturday, which I'm looking forward to, so maybe that will turn things around a little.

Poor old London though, I'm surprised the property prices are remaining so high when we're clearly DOOMED.
