It's been a busy weekend. Mum and Dad arrived on Friday, but not until the afternoon, meaning I had the morning to do housework and still have enough time for a lie-in. Victory!
Given that they've been here before, we headed back to the house only briefly before going out for some food, and then going to see Book of Mormon. Fiona took the final ticket off us, and there was only minimal wrangling to get the actual tickets, although we did have to wait until half an hour before the performance! It was well worth it, though. I was a little worried about it; that it wouldn't be as good as the reviews, that Dad wouldn't like it, that it just be slightly too sweary. Well, it was very definitely weary but oh my goodness I enjoyed it and nearly cried with laughter. Spooky Mormon Hell Dream will stay with me for a long, long time. It was brilliant, and I just feel sad that Richie missed it.
The rest of the weekend was mostly just wandering around and trying to avoid the rain, and catching up with my parents, and slightly trying to show them bits of London that I love, like Borough Market. I drank far too much and am absolutely shattered now, and my accent has bounced merrily around a huge chunk of the UK. Still, it's all good - I do get on much better with my parents now we don't actually have to live with each other.
I have the rest of today off, and back to work tomorrow. Only briefly, though - I have tickets to see the Arcade Fire on Thursday so another day off work. Wahey!
