Mar. 15th, 2015 03:28 pmI've been trying to work on lots of good and happy things. It's mine and Richie's wedding anniversary on Tuesday, so yesterday we had a Day Out. We went to the Reuben's exhibit at the Royal Academy (basic conclusion: we're not very good at Appreciating Art other than on a basic level but we are very good at Appreciating Cocktails in the bar) before going out to dinner at Fischers where we ate so much we had to be rolled back on the Tube. We didn't have any dessert because we were stuffed to the gills so we were both delighted and horrified to get a complementary selection of dessert biscuits and cakes with 'Happy Anniversary' written on a plate. For the first time, banging on about having an anniversary got us an upgrade but oh god the one time we didn't want it...
A good evening, though. This evening I'm making a roast dinner with some wine to finish off the weekend. Our actual wedding anniversary is Tuesday, when alas we are both in work. I am deeply baffled that we have been married for three years, though. Where has the time gone?!
In other, less good news, I moved the car today and my steering has gone. Was going to get rid of the car in June, when I had used it to go to a wedding and a hen do that are both based in places I can't get too easily, but, er. Going to run it to the garage on Saturday (very slowly, at a time when there are minimal people that I might run in to) and see what they say. And fret about how one hires a car. I mean, the thing is a money suck but still. Alas.

Date: 2015-03-18 10:46 pm (UTC)Re your car, is the steering just heavy? i.e. is it likely just the power steering which has gone? If so, you don't actually *need* power steering, and it shouldn't damage your car to run it without fixing it (it just might be a complete bugger to park, etc.).
