Richie is away at a stag do as I write this, so in theory I should be in my pajamas and watching Game of Thrones whilst ordering takeaway pizza. Unfortunately I have just dropped the car off at the garage and am working on a college assignment ("Managing and Co-ordinating the HR Function" and yes it's an exciting as it sounds). So basically I'm broke (and about to be a lot more so) and horribly behind on college work. With any luck the following things will happen:

1. The car will be magically fixed and they will expect me to pay no money towards it

2. I will be able to pull together and exciting, innovative and crucially box-ticking presentation in the next three hours, therefore leaving myself in glorious and blissful solitude to bingewatch TV

So, the above is not going to happen but there we go. I have the overdraft with plenty left in it for option 1, enough food in the house to see me and Richie through the week and payday (with OH GOD PLEASE HOPEFULLY) with payrise and bonus on either Friday or Monday, so I will survive. Also, I may just... well... get rid of the car, to be honest. I have a budget in my head and if it goes over that then farewell, noble steed, I wonder how much I can get for you at a scrap merchants. The Car Maths of the last few years has been working out how many weddings we have in an upcoming period and this year its about equal to paying for the upkeep as to getting rid and dicking about with public transport, so I will survive.

The presentation is a different kettle of fish altogether, but I'm using Google Slides and just found a presentation style called 'Trek' so I will at least be amused.

Speaking of bingewatching telly, I have mostly been watching The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Brooklyn 99. The first makes me howl with laughter at places (it's the Velcro reaction that got me) but I think I still prefer Brooklyn 99. I identify, er, far too much with Amy. I love all of the characters, I really do, but oh god Amy's pathological need to be thought well of despite knowing she's good at her job. It's appraisal season and I am just... bobbing along a bit, in work and at college. Or at least that's what it feels like. I have three assignments to work on at the moment (two due in April and one due in June) and I have completely failed to do any work on any of them, unless you count 'picking Trek as a background'. I don't know.

I think the important part is that I will be spending this evening watching Game of Thrones instead, and tomorrow I will meet Fiona for lunch to maintain human contact before I can only presume I go mad on Netflix. And finish assignment. Obviously. Yes. Ahem. (And then next week, Resourcing and Talent Management, which is basically My Actual Job so might be easier.)

I love the two older guys in Brooklyn Nine Nine - the captain and the sergeant. The episode where the captain is trying to give people puppies <3!!!. I am also v attracted to Diaz *heart eyes emoji*. I would enjoy the show 1000% more if Peralta were a woman, though (keeping everything else exactly the same to make it v queer ofc), but that goes for basically any show with a male protag...

I also love Diaz, she is fierce. Although Gina is completely my favourite. And have you seen how amazing the guy who plays the sergeant is: http://msmagazine.com/blog/2015/03/20/we-heart-terry-crews-fierce-feminist/

I love Brooklyn 99! It makes me so happy. Amy is one of my favourite characters, and I identify with her a lot - she wants people to praise her work and validate her! She is a stickler for rules! She is uptight! I love her so much. But I also really love Holt and Terry and Rosa.

Good luck with the assignments. I have a few deadlines coming up and need to stop sleeping all the time (why am I always so sleepy? It is unhelpful) and start getting things done. I feel your pain.

I love THEM ALL, it must be said. But oh, Amy, you are so close to my personality it is occasionally alarming.

I am currently avoiding my next assignment LIKE A CHAMP. I might do some work on it later but as it's nearly 3.30pm it's looking increasingly unlikely...
