hathycolI am now on annual leave. Thank god for that. After my last post I completely failed to finish my assignment so went into work and booked today off on Monday morning, which was a Grade A decision because I didn't get much time to finish it during the week. (I know, I know, expecting me to work on my job during work hours, truly I am oppressed.) That said, I sat down and blasted at it like a lunatic on Tuesday and Wednesday evening and finished the first draft and today I have edited it, printed it, submitted it to Turnitin (which is completely useless and things I have plagarised 5% of it, all examples of which are taken from the footnotes which is where my references are), finished my 'end of term' work, updated my CPD, doublechecked my presentation for a week today is still looking okay and now I am officially On Holiday.
So now I'm updating LJ and have a film on in the background. Good stuff. Freedom is wonderful. I'm very pleased I decided to take today off, I desperately needed to get caught up on sleep. Tomorrow I'm off to Deepest Yorkshire for a hen do, which I am a little hesitant about because I don't know a lot of the other people going and it's a bloody long drive by myself. Still, I now have some booze (no wine because Lidl has severely let me down in terms of boxes of red, boo), a handful of print outs for directions and as I don't need to be there until about 7 I don't need to leave here until 1.30pm, which means tomorrow I get MORE SLEEP before being sociable for a whole week. That and one of the activities is 'bring a good book', which I can definitely get behind. I am attempting to load up my iPod for some music on the way (party like its 2009 or like you're Darcy Lewis, christ I hope it's doesn't synchronise because I have no music on this laptop) and later I will update my Kindle as well. Hopefully it's all good, and the sheer amount of sleep will lead to be being significantly able to be chatty and all of that exciting stuff throughout the weekend.
